The 2008 Stars of the Industry Awards was a huge success! Over 70 nominees were recognized for their outstanding work within the lodging industry. This year’s Awards Luncheon was especially memorable due to the Arizona Hotel and Lodging Association celebrating its 70th Birthday. To celebrate, numerous resort pastry chefs competed in an “Arizona inspired” cake decorating contest. A special thank you to The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel, The Phoenician, Royal Palms Resort and Spa, Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, Arizona Grand Resort and the Westin Kierland Resort for their hard work and scrumptious cake creations. The Luncheon guests voted and selected Westin Kierland Resort & Spa as the winning cake. Congratulations to all!
